Charlie Workmon is the Senior Vice President of Operations and Managing Partner for Charlotte-based Broad River Furniture – number 56 on Furniture Today’s Top 100 Retailers list. He oversees all aspects of operations and home delivery for Broad River, while developing and executing key initiatives and processes to improve the in-home customer experience. In addition, Workmon oversees all aspects of transportation and distribution services between Broad River and vendor partners. He brings a wealth of skills and best practices in home delivery and distribution gleaned from his 20+ years of experience with retailers and manufacturers. Having worked on delivery trucks, in warehouse operations and dispatching, he literally grew up in the distribution business.
Prior to Broad River Furniture, Workmon served as Director of Business Development for XPO Last Mile in Marietta, Ga., where he developed solutions for several major home furnishings retailers including Nebraska Furniture Mart, Ethan Allen, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Macyʼs and Ashley HomeStore licensees.
Workmon attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford. He loves football, having recently served as the Head Coach of an Atlanta-area high and middle school program. He also loves Ole Miss football, his church, fly fishing, hiking, history and reading. He and his wife, Courtney, have been happily married since 2005 and are the proud parents of five children, Kate, Lucy, Sam, Ellie and Molly.
